When you listen to Bob Dylan's song, "Watching The River Flow," there is a certain unmistakable air and mood about
the song --
People disagreein' everywhere you look
Makes you wanna stop and read a book
Why, only yesterday I saw somebody on the street
That was -- really shook!
But this ol' river keeps on rollin'...
Two recordings of the song are good to listen to --
On Amazon's Music, there is the original, and then it's fun to compare, go on You Tube and there's a video titled
"Bob Dylan Wtaching The River Flow"
(the word "watching" has this typo -- you can find it that way...)

This is a live version from recent years -- seems like it was recorded on somebody's phone -- considering this, it's decent sound...
Bob does the song differently from the original recording -- here, it's a fast, rockabilly rhythm -- sounds like a train, or a Johnny Cash song -- Great!

------------------- [excerpt, Bob Dylan interview in the New York Times, June 2020] ------------------ "Good news in today's world is like a fugitive, treated like a hoodlum and put on the run. Castigated. All we see is good-for-nothing news. And we have to thank the media industry for that. It stirs people up. Gossip and dirty laundry. Dark news that depresses and horrifies you.
On the other hand, gospel news is exemplary. It can give you courage. You can pace your life accordingly, or try to, anyway...."
