roads must a man walk down

So if the reason for

NAFTA and

CAFTA and

globalization and

the "race to the bottom"

was to have world peace

then that's different.  That's a worthy goal.  A supremely worthy goal.

So, then, like --

in the Short-run:  rather crappy economy and job market in America

in the Long-run:  no more world wars or terrorism or the other worst stuff (listed here, yesterday).

This has to be the reason -- the goal.  Our leaders would not sell out the working people in America just to be mean.

(Maybe it doesn't matter if we have income disparity for a while.  As long as the Rich 1% doesn't take to abusing or killing us.  It isn't the

imbalance of "stuff" that concerns me

it's the

imbalance of power...)

--------------------------------------------
We can live through underemployment for a while if it achieves world peace, through a functioning worldwide economy.

And how fast could that happen?

In the old days, probably take decades; with modern technology, maybe 5 years.  Or 20.

Peace.  Just imagine.
