That's 48. Now, which two could I not think of?
Answer: Connecticut, and New Jersey
Why? Why? Why?
How could I forget two states? Have been through, and also to, both New Jersey and Connecticut.
And also, in the first round, I forgot Massachusetts, where I lived, for five years... Good grief.
-------------------- When I was in fourth grade, or the summer after, maybe, I memorized the capital city of each state. I got the info from a red plastic pencil box which had, on the lid, a map of the U.S., and two little "windows" and a dial.
When you dialed the state, and landed on Ohio, for example, in the "state window," the capital would show up in the other window: Columbus. California: Sacramento. Rhode Island: Providence. Etc.
I did not have the 50 states memorized, to just rattle off...but if you named me a state, I could name you the capital.
It seems like these types of accomplishments are from that category during childhood that might have been filed under "OK, what can I do next?"...
