The towels were so thick there I could hardly close my suitcase.

If one morning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the headline that afternoon would read: 'President Can't Swim.'

#8 on 10 worst presidents List
(reprinted from U.S. News)
William Henry Harrison
Born: Feb. 9, 1773
Died: April 4, 1841
Vice President: John Tyler
He was president for all of 30 days after contracting pneumonia during his interminable inaugural.
-------------------- Alas, poor Harrison. That the ninth president makes any list at all is an act of scholarly injustice. The Virginian's greatest claim to fame was defeating the Shawnees in 1811 at the Battle of Tippecanoe.
Delivering the longest inaugural address in U.S. history, he came down with pneumonia that made his 30-day presidency the shortest in U.S. history. Death would seem sufficient punishment for long-windedness; historians are guilty of piling on. -------------- [end, reprint]
