Make. It. Stop. (Cosbys in my head)
Who are these people?
Do we care?
We know Cliff and Clair Huxtable.
We do not know Bill and Camille Cosby.
The cognitive dissonance is like an unwelcome headache: if you watched "The Cosby Show" in the 80s (or later in re-runs) you feel like you know Bill Cosby. And you feel like Things Are A Certain Way. In Life.
If you "work hard," you can "do well."
Life can be good.
Life can be fun. You can make it fun.
(Remember, for the grandparents' anniversaries, when they lip-synched and danced to "Night Time Is The Right Time" one year? - and the next year it was a James Brown number... with those sharp, punchy trumpets...)

I know Dr. Huxtable.
And since it was titled "The Cosby Show" and Bill Cosby played Dr. Huxtable, the identities became conflated in the minds of viewers, on a subconscious level.
Or -- maybe it's just me.
