Listening to "Talking Sopranos" podcast on You Tube, I felt like I was "in the know" when I heard someone say, talking about gambling, you can "let it ride" - and I knew what Let It Ride meant.
(Or - I think I do.)
Then one of the guys says it's a crazy decision to let it ride because "it's really hard" to get those same numbers to come up again.
And I thought - "really hard" implies there's effort and skill the gambler puts into it. "Really hard" is sort of not the right phrase: more like, "very unlikely."
Dice are like the weather. We don't have any control over it, or influence over it.
Right?
A certain component for people who enjoy gambling has to be - Believing In Stuff. Believing you have a special connection with the universe, to where It (the Universe) is going to let you have special luck.
There. Luck. That's the thing one is believing in, if one is gambling, I guess.
