Melania, Michelle, Laura, Hillary, and Rosalynn

There's an Argentine film titled Nueve Reinas ("Nine Queens").

Now  maybe they can make a movie called Cinco Primera Damas ("Five First Ladies").

According to news reports, all five living American First Ladies have spoken out about family separations at the border.

"The practice and policy today of removing children from their parents' care at our border with Mexico is disgraceful and a shame to our country."
~ Rosalynn Carter, U.S. First Lady, 1976 - 1980

     "...a moral and humanitarian crisis."
~ Hillary Clinton, U.S. First Lady, 1992 - 2000

"...I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel.  It is immoral.  And it breaks my heart."
~ Laura Bush, U.S. First Lady, 2000 - 2008

[Retweeting Mrs. Bush's statement] and adding, "Sometimes truth transcends party."
~ Michelle Obama, U.S. First Lady, 2008 - 2016

"Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform.  She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart."
~ Stephanie Grisham, communications director for current First Lady Melania Trump

On my list of the best-made movies is one I discovered in a video-rental section about 13 years ago:  it is titled Criminal.

Made in 2004.
Starring John C. Reilly, Diego Luna, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

This movie was adapted from Nine Queens, which was made in Argentina in the year 2000; released in the U.S.A. in 2002.
