yet I look for the light through the pouring rain

A few years ago someone told me, about Facebook, "I just call it Drama-Book."

I asked her why, she said people just get on there and say a bunch of stuff... fight, bully, etc.

Recently I read an Internet Comment that said, "IMO Facebook should change its name to Narcissistic Personality Disorder Book."

     Oh -- kay...

--------------------------- Maybe Facebook is like life -- it's what we make it.  (And the same for other social media, too....)

On You Tube there is a video where a New York Times White House correspondent discusses Donald Trump's unique style as president.

She doesn't try to push an idea of

Trump is great

or an idea of

Trump is terrible;

she just shares her perspective, as someone who has worked close-up, reporting on the current administration.

The main point which came across was that Pres. Trump does not have a Grand Long-Range Plan For America And The World.  He does not have a Big-Long-Range-Plan.  He just thinks and imagines how to "Get Through The Next Thing," basically.

Whether it's visiting the Queen of England, or meeting Vladimir Putin in Finland, or having a rally in Pennsylvania -- according to the reporter in the video, the president is focusing on the next thing in front of him -- the event or process that's "on his plate."

The journalist, Maggie Haberman, seems to be aiming to alleviate concerns people might have about this president having a plan to turn our country into a dictatorship.

Things that make people worry about this include:

-- when the president seems obsequious to Russian leader Putin
-- when Pres. Trump is seen as being rude or inappropriate/flippant toward U.S. allies
-- calling the press an "enemy of the people" (which is Stalin-esque language)

-- possibly thinks he's above the law -- trying to stop Mueller investigation, which (I think) would be obstruction of justice
-- and those rallies he holds.  To some, they appear similar to how Hitler used to get a crowd going...

The title of the video, which is on You Tube, is:

Trump Is Not What He Seems - Maggie Haberman

For people who worry about Trump having a Grand Plan to enslave us or burn us in ovens, it's somewhat comforting to listen to it.

(Many times, the expression that someone is "not what they seem" to be, is perceived as a negative comment about the person.
But in this case, when you listen to the video, you realize that our president being "not what he seems" is offered as a positive perspective....)
