elect Cats To Congress!

"Politics" does not mean where you attack people.

Being a "Republican" does not mean where you fill up the Supreme Court with perverts.  (Or, as Archie Bunker would say, "preverts.")

Being a "Democrat" does not mean where you don't even run.

------------------------- Recently this Reader Comment attracted my notice -- it was a Comment about someone else's Comment...

"One of the fascinating things about him is that he literally has no real thoughts about politics whatsoever.  Instead, he has canned sound-bites that he simply regurgitates....
He knows nothing whatsoever about politics.  He has no interest whatsoever in politics.  It's all tribalism and resentment."

_____________________ I noted this Comment because I often observe in what people say on the issues, there's sometimes a lot of "resentment" which I wonder if it's maybe rooted in some other topic entirely, they're just "taking it out on" the political discussion.  And the word tribalism -- that comes into my mind, too, because so  many comments and assertions are based on, "My Team -- Your Team -- Us -- Them -- ME GOOD, YOU NOT VERY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uhmm -- no.

     Had a brainstream -- or -- storm -- or -- sudden revelation:

Clarence Thomas

Brett Kavanaugh...

...Same "Person," Different Background.

Same entitled, angry, peevish attitude.

Brothah - from - anothah - mothah...?

When you learn about narcissistic personalities, it kind of explains why sometimes we observe the same behavior coming out of different people.  (One used to wonder, do they attend A-hole seminars and learn a script?  Julia Roberts says something about this in the movie, Pretty Woman.)

It isn't seminars, it's a type of brain-wiring where the person feels like they don't really have a personality, so they have to depend on things outside of themselves to validate their existence.

It would explain why they get really mad when they're challenged, because to them it's like life-or-death of their hoped-for personality.  It isn't an excuse for their behavior or the harm they wreak on society, but it's a -- thing, that psychologists are studying.

One of the TV commentators several days ago said he thought Brett Kavanaugh's attitude was similar to that of Clarence Thomas, in that they both seemed "angry at the confirmation process itself."

It seems like that type of personality is the direct opposite of "judge material."
