"I love this dirty town"

On Amazon Prime now:

Sweet Smell of Success

Gosh, after you watch that you want to lock up Burt Lancaster right next to James Caan, in an adjoining cell (Ugh!)

Cinematography so beautiful!  People's behavior so ugly!  Music -- dynamite!

On Netflix:

The Bridges of Madison County

He's Just Not That Into You

American Beauty

Above are the feature films that caught my attention.

Also on Netflix, several documentary series --

Turning Point:  911 and the War on Terror

Top Secret UFO Projects:  Declassified

Hitler's Circle of Evil

With the Hitler stuff -- I feel like we can't learn too much about how horrors are brought about in the world, so we can take steps to prevent it now and in the future.  (Ukraine situation is so scary.)

You Tube Comments are so fascinating because we see what other people think about a film -- under a preview video for The Bridges of Madison County, Prathamesh Bhambure typed this comment:

~ Watched this greatly touching film today (21-12-2021) and it left me with so many teachings.  Life isn't all rainbows and sunshine, at least for everyone, it isn't!

I'm grateful to have seen this masterpiece and learned quite a bit from it.

_____________________________ Such interesting perspective, I thought, from someone who probably is in a different generation than me, and in -- or from -- another country, probably bilingual -- using his English, expressing his feeling about the movie.  I love it.

Then -- if you go on You Tube and type in the UFO one -- the comments are funny...

~ First episode:  "tonight we will find the answers"

Last episode:  "we may never know"

~  All they do in this series is lead you on then go on to another incident.

~ exactly.  every single time.

~ After watching the whole series I can confirm that the existence of aliens may or may not exist

~ Let me guess, this series will feature a narrator who answers questions with questions.

~ No no no... it will start with "tonight we will find the answers" then end with "we may never know..."

They've been using this template since the late 70s, except now you have My Pillow type personalities or "experts" on the scene!

~ Footage is pixely:  "too blurry looks fake"

Footage is HD:  "too clear looks staged"

~ This is gonna be like every other series ever and give us no answers

~ "Two possibilities exist:  either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.  Both are equally terrifying."

-- Arthur C. Clarke

~ Guys, it's fine.  Aliens are real.  But they are hella nice -- we'd be dead otherwise.
