I read this in a Comment under a You Tube video:
---------------------- "It's really tough to maintain a life that is baseline happy, because society wants you to not be happy so you listen to their messages and buy their products." --------------------------
I have thought a few times recently that I dislike advertisements that try to scare you into buying something. There was an ad on the Internet for cutting boards that are made out of titanium. It implied that you will get sick or die if you are using a cutting board made out of wood, or a cutting board that's made out of plastic.
I thought, Why don't you tell me something positive about your cutting board that you are trying to sell me, instead of trying to make me think I'm going to die if I use one of the regular cutting boards that I can buy in the store?
It's just obnoxious.
I don't like being harassed by advertising.
(If I throw away my cutting board and just cut things on the bare counter, will I live forever?)
