I wondered what is the proper way to address former U.S. presidents: Google tells us, "All U.S. presidents retain their title for life, so all former presidents are referred to as Mr. President or President [last name]."
So we have
President Trump
President Obama
President Bush (George W.)
President Clinton
President Bush (George Herbert Walker), and
President Carter
(living presidents).
