if a tree falls in the forest and no one tweets about it...

Contemplating the book about how Doctor Zhivago "got out" of the Soviet Union, and Congress today, what stood out to me was, back in the Soviet days during Stalin's terrors, a Russian author had to worry about being murdered by his own government; in 2018, U.S. senators' biggest fear is being "tweeted about" (tweeted-upon?) by Trump.

Bet if we could have asked Pilnyak, "Would you rather be executed by the communist government or slandered on Twitter by Trump, which one would you choose?" he would have had a firm answer pretty quickly, followed by the question, in a lowered voice, "What is this Twitter, of which you speak?"

On You Tube, we can type in,

What Can We Learn From Past Presidential Leadership?

and there's a really good video on there - 11 minutes.
