     The Beatles songs featured here, this week, are all from the early 1960s.  Before Vietnam escalation; before Woodstock; before Nixon; before hippies.



     (At the time when these songs came out,  nonconformists who explored poetry were called "beatniks.")


      President Kennedy was still alive when some of these songs came out.



     When you check out Beatles songs recorded 1962 - 1970, something you'll notice is the vast variety of musical ground covered.
     The songs I highlighted this week are all from one time period, and their style is similar -- exuberant, and bumptious.
