I was thinking, is a view -- or an object, or a scene -- beautiful, to us, because of what we're seeing, or because of what we're thinking while we look at it?

a very nice view
The beauty in the beholder's eye
Can never be found to tell a lie
Because the energy that makes one sigh
------- At the texture, peace, possibility, and promise
------- Is still there when I look away...
