In the Chuck Berry documentary Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll -- in the bonus material, extra features on Disc 2, director Taylor Hackford describes a scene where the assembled musicians were jamming, & Chuck Berry took time out to sit in the audience and rest. 


Then after a little while, the group's building rendition of "Mean Old World" got Chuck re-enthused -- he goes back up on the stage, "grabs the mike, and lays down the lyric" -- and, Hackford adds, "It's a choice, sweet moment."




That quotation struck me, and I had to write it down.  That is what musicians -- and all artists -- do for us, they give us the choice, sweet moments.
