it's a mystery!

In this part of the 1993 film Manhattan Murder Mystery, where Carol Lipton and Mr. House are both outside the apartment building -- she sees him walking away, but he does not see her... she turns and goes back inside the building.

She goes down to the super's shop, says they have a leak in their kitchen, could he check it; he tells her he will get to it that afternoon.  He goes to get something, saying to Carol that he will be back in a minute.

When he's gone, she starts looking around for keys, takes one, and heads upstairs.

She uses the key to unlock Mr. House's apartment, goes in, and starts looking around.
