our love is like a ship on the ocean

In her 2010 book, My life in pictures , Jerry Hall has a photograph from New Year's Day 1978 at Studio 54.  It includes, besides her, Bob Colacello (publisher of Interview magazine), Andy Warhol, Debbie Harry, Truman Capote, and Paloma Picasso.

I'm surprised the camera didn't break under the pressure of all that notoriety and talent.

A moment in time, with sparkle, flash, and excitement for all the spontaneous possibilities that 1978 might hold.

Lost forever in the past?

Or alive forever in memories, imaginations, spirits, and sudden pictures?

On the opposite page from the photo Jerry writes,

--------- When Mick was away touring, Andy or Fred, his business manager and partner, would be my escort.  We went out a lot.  We'd often go to Studio 54, the happening place in New York then, and meet up with actors, artists, models and musicians.
