from Television city, in Hollywood...

As I was studying (enjoying) episodes from the first three seasons of "All In The Family" on YouTube, I was reading some Comments --

Nicholas Corwin
----------------------------- When I was a kid in the Seventies, my mother hated this show, even though she's a New Yorker and loves everything related to it.

I thought the show was hilarious and still do.  But for my mom, it hit a bit too close to home ... her parents resembled a somewhat better-off version of Edith and Archie.

My grandfather was grouchy, tightfisted and opinionated, and he verbally abused my grandmother.

He also said "terlet," which drove my upwardly mobile mother nuts.
